What process is involved in washing a house?

We apply an anti mould cleaning solution to the house as a part of the washing process, the solution will not harm your plants.
Once the solution has been applied we use our purpose made equipment to low pressure clean the surfaces.
Our cleaning solution works to soften the mould and grime, this negates the need for high pressure.

Will my house be flooded with water?

Absolutely not, we have over 12 years experience washing houses and our equipment uses far less pressure and water then a standard garden hose.

Prior to starting a house-wash we inspect the house to identify potential problems, such as old windows with large gaps or windows that do not close properly.

We hand wash around doors and other identified problem areas.

My friend had their house washed and their paint work was damaged.

Unfortunately there are now many inexperienced operators in the industry that give us experienced operators a poor reputation.

Combining our cleaning solution, purpose made equipment and years of experience your paintwork will not be damaged.

We can safely wash flyscreens, lime washed walls and lead light windows using our method.

Do you squeegee windows?

Yes we do, we provide a separate quotation for this service.

Will my windows need to be squeegeed after a house wash?

As a part of our house washing process we clean the windows, this removes spider webs, bird droppings, dirt and grime.

The windows may dry a bit spotty or streaky, particularly on a hot day.

Approximately 90% of our customers are pleased with how good the windows come up and do not bother to have them squeegeed.

What do I need to do prior to having my house washed?

Make sure there is no washing on the line if it is located close to the house and check all windows and doors are closed.

Remove anything you do not want to get wet from under awnings, pergolas, eaves etc. We carry large tarpaulins to cover heavy items such as timber tables etc.

Shire House Washing usually blocks the driveway so please make sure all cars are out of the garage or drive prior to our appointment time.

Please lock up or remove any dogs that may escape if gates are left open, we would hate to be responsible if your pampered pooch ran away as we are constantly walking through gates while working.

Sit back and relax with a icy cold beer or glass of wine to admire your fresh, sparkling new look home and try to convince your neighbors that you are not selling.
